Test of International English Competency - TIEC™
a
Since English is a communication tool, TIEC is designed to assess the test takers’ skill in English communication as used in academic and general situations. TIEC has several advantages for students and related parties as follow:
- Realistic and Reliable. The questions in TIEC are based on real life situations, either general or academic.
- Multi Purpose. TIEC is available to all people of various backgrounds, either students or employees, for academic or general purposes.
- Objective. The test correction and scoring are made as objective as possible. Professional examiners do not know the examinees, so that the test result shows the examinees’ real English competency.
- Confidential. All test materials and questions are kept strictly to guarantee a high level of confidentiality. No one is able to see them before the test, including the Certified TIEC Supervisor (CTS). Test materials are to be disclosed in the testing room only
- Affordable. The TIEC test fee is only US$ 30. This includes the TIEC English Competency Certificate.
- Short Test Time. The TIEC test is designed to take only 1 hour and 30 minutes. This short test time is aimed at maintaining the concentration of examinees during the test.
- Customized. Test materials can be adjusted to the needs of companies, especially for companies which are partners of TIEC. Questions can be about banking, mining, economics or nursing. The English Competency Certificate will state, for example, 'Intermediate Level in Banking Industries.'
